2.) What about the hinges on the door? Can they be reinforced as well?
During our testing, we found that once the Secure Lock is in place, the hinge side of the door actually becomes the weaker side. We therefore replace the ½ inch screws that most hinges have holding them in place with 3” heavy-duty screws. Again, the idea is to use the strength of the studs in the frame to help strengthen the door itself.
