4.) I already have an alarm system. Why do I need the Secure Lock?
There is no doubt that alarm systems are an asset. There are however two main issues with having only an alarm system in place. The systems notify the proper authorities when there is a problem and that, in itself, is a good thing. The problem though is that the minimum response time for police is 14-16 minutes (according to conservative estimates given by officers) and most thieves are gone within 3-5 minutes. They do not PREVENT a break-in! Nothing about a monitoring system makes your home harder to break into. Take a bank’s vault for example. It is not just a room with an alarm that goes off when someone breaks in. NO! The bank takes every necessary step to make that vault as strong as possible. Our homes should be no different! The goal should be to make your home a hard target for any intruders.
