Terms and Conditions
The Secure Lock shall only be used for the purpose for which it was intended. This warranty is limited only to the original purchaser of the Secure Lock at the address at which it was installed and is only valid when a Certified Secure Homes representative installs the device. This warranty shall be void in the case the Secure Lock is displaced, changed, tampered with, or the like in any way by anyone other than a Certified Secure Homes representative.
If the original purchaser’s home is burglarized, due to a direct failure of The Secure Lock, Secure Homes will pay the purchaser’s homeowner’s insurance policy deductible (up to $250) as well as replace the Secure Lock at no additional charge. Direct failure of the Secure Lock under this warranty shall be limited to the following:
Entry into the home as a direct result of the Secure Lock breaking when a door, equipped with a correctly installed Secure Lock, has been kicked in or forced open with a direct blow to the face of the door. Entry into the home through methods such as prying, cutting, or due to the lock or deadbolt breaking shall not constitute failure of the Secure Lock for the purposes of this warranty.
It is also important to note that this warranty shall apply to the Secure Lock itself. Secure Homes will in no way be held liable for damage or failure of anything other than the Secure Lock, including but not limited to: Secure Lock installation screws, locks/deadbolts, hinges, anything pertaining to the door and/or door frame/jamb, and all door hardware.
We wish to make clear that the powder coating used on the Secure Lock is strictly cosmetic and in no way affects or changes the integrity of the Secure Lock. Over time this coating may peel, flake, and/or show normal wear including but not limited to scratches and discoloration. Secure Homes will not be held responsible for this normal wear over time.
This warranty shall also be void if entry is forced by the Fire, Police, EMS departments or any other government agency. Any use of this product in any manner other than intended or in conjunction with illegal activity by the purchaser shall also void this warranty.
In the event of any claim of this warranty, the burden shall be upon the purchaser to prove strict compliance with all instructions and specifications provided by Secure Homes.
Secure Homes reserves the right to request an on site inspection of the compromised entry door for which a warranty claim has been filed. Upon request by Secure Homes the purchaser must provide the opportunity for Secure Homes to inspect the Secure Lock in the place it had been originally installed.
Secure Homes also reserves the right to request from the purchaser a copy of any relevant police and/or other reports that may be filed in conjunction with the direct failure of the Secure Lock. The purchaser agrees that Secure Homes shall not be liable for any consequential losses arising from the purchase, installation, and/or use of the Secure Lock.
